Information

SmartFlow Trading (“SmartFlow Trading”, “we”, “us” or “our”) uses cookies and related technologies when you use our websites, mobile-optimised sites and mobile applications (together, the “Online Services”).

This Cookie Notice applies in addition to any terms of use, product terms or contractual provisions that apply to the SmartFlow Trading service you are using.

This notice explains what these technologies do, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences. For broader information about how we use personal data, please see our Privacy Notice.

How you control cookies and similar technologies

Websites and mobile sites: giving, changing and withdrawing consent

Where required by applicable law, we will request your permission before placing cookies or similar technologies on your device, except for those that are strictly necessary for the Online Services to function or to provide a service you have requested.

We use:

  • a cookie banner to present choices when you arrive; and

  • a cookie preference centre (or “cookie settings”) to let you manage your selections.

Giving consent
When the banner appears, you can typically:

  • choose Accept all; or

  • choose Manage settings to enable only selected categories.

Changing or withdrawing consent
You can update your choices at any time by:

  1. selecting Cookie settings on the banner (where shown); and/or

  2. using the Cookie settings link on the site (often in the footer), which opens the preference centre.

In the preference centre:

  • strictly necessary cookies generally remain enabled because the site may not work without them; and

  • your choices apply once you save your settings.

Preferences may reset
If you delete cookies, use private browsing, or block storage through browser settings, you may see the banner again and your saved preferences may reset. This can happen because a cookie (or equivalent setting) is commonly used to remember your consent choices.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings (for example, blocking some or all cookies). Please note that restricting cookies can affect your experience and may prevent certain features (including secure areas) from working as intended.

Mobile apps: giving, changing and withdrawing consent

Our mobile apps may use app-based technologies that perform a similar function to cookies (for example, SDKs and device identifiers). These help us:

  • understand how the app is used,

  • maintain performance and reliability,

  • improve features and user experience, and

  • enhance security and help detect suspicious activity.

Where available, you can manage these choices within the app’s privacy, marketing or settings menus (often under your profile/account). Some controls may also be available through your device operating system permissions.

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve efficiency, remember preferences and produce reporting/analytics.

We use cookies and similar tools for a range of purposes, such as:

  • enabling key functions and navigation,

  • remembering choices and preferences,

  • measuring performance and diagnosing errors,

  • preventing and detecting fraud and abuse,

  • keeping accounts and sessions secure, and

  • where you allow it, supporting advertising and measuring marketing effectiveness.

When you use the Online Services, we may collect information such as:

  • device and browser characteristics (e.g., device type, operating system, language settings, screen size),

  • how you interact with pages or features,

  • referral/campaign information (for example, whether you arrived via an ad), and

  • network identifiers such as your IP address.

We may use this information to understand usage patterns (e.g., how visitors move between pages), evaluate performance, attribute marketing activity, and strengthen security. Some parts of our Online Services rely on cookies to function; if you block them, certain features may not operate correctly and you may be unable to start or complete some actions.

In addition, depending on the service and applicable restrictions, we may be unable to support certain transactions when a user is physically located in particular countries.

First-party and third-party cookies

  • First-party cookies are placed by SmartFlow Trading.

  • Third-party cookies are placed by other organisations whose tools are used on or through our Online Services (for example analytics providers, advertising platforms, or embedded services). Those third parties may be able to recognise your device across different sites/apps, depending on their technology and your choices.

Pixels, scripts and similar tools

We may use small pieces of code (such as pixels/web beacons and scripts like JavaScript) to support the activities described above—for example, to understand whether a page was viewed or whether an email link was clicked. In some environments, you can restrict scripts using browser or device settings; doing so may reduce functionality.

Local storage / comparable technologies

Some technologies store information in browser/app storage rather than traditional cookies. Restricting these through browser/device controls may also impact site/app performance.

Cookie categories and what they do

Not every Online Service uses every category listed below, and some cookies may fall into more than one category.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the Online Services to operate and are typically not optional. They support tasks such as:

  • saving your privacy choices,

  • enabling log-in and secure areas,

  • allowing form submission and navigation,

  • protecting accounts, sessions and transactions,

  • helping meet legal/regulatory obligations, including fraud prevention.

Performance / analytics cookies

These help us measure usage and improve the Online Services, such as by:

  • counting visits and traffic sources,

  • understanding which pages/features are used most,

  • identifying errors and technical issues,

  • improving speed, usability and reliability.

If you disable these, we may have less insight into what is working well and what needs improvement.

Functional cookies

These help remember selections you make (for example, language or region) to provide a smoother and more tailored experience. They do not typically track your browsing across unrelated websites.

Targeting / advertising cookies

Where enabled, these cookies help:

  • show ads that may be more relevant,

  • limit how often you see the same advert, and

  • measure campaign effectiveness.

If you disable them, you may still see ads, but they may be less aligned to your interests.

Social media cookies

Where social sharing tools or embedded social content are used, social platforms may set cookies to enable those features. These cookies may also allow the platform to recognise your browser across other sites, depending on the platform and your settings.

Cookies and similar tools in emails

Some emails we send may include tracking technologies (for example, a small pixel) and/or links with unique identifiers. These help us understand engagement (such as opens and clicks) and improve future communications.

If you prefer to reduce email tracking:

  • avoid downloading images in marketing emails,

  • do not click links, and/or

  • adjust your email client settings to block remote images.

Changes

Viewing the cookie list for a specific site/app

You can see the cookies in use—and their purposes, providers and retention—via the cookie preference centre on the relevant Online Service.

In some implementations, cookie details may be provided via an external reference library (for example Cookiepedia operated by OneTrust). Where an external library is used, it is maintained by that third party.

Tailored advertising and how we work with partners

Where you enable targeting/advertising cookies, we may use third-party platforms (such as ad networks and social media platforms) to deliver and measure advertising.

This may involve using cookies and similar tools to understand which content is useful and to build audiences for advertising based on activity on our Online Services and, where applicable, signals associated with your use of our services. We generally do not share “full profiles” with advertisers; rather, we use partner tools to request that ads be shown to certain audiences. Advertising platforms may still infer that a person engaging with an ad is likely part of the audience the ad was intended for.

Your opt-outs

  • Turning off targeting/advertising cookies in cookie settings will stop those cookies being placed on your device for the relevant Online Service.
  • If your account includes marketing preferences, disabling certain marketing options may also limit how we use your data for advertising measurement and audience building. You may still see advertising from us, but it may be less relevant.

Examples of third parties we may use

Depending on the site/app and campaign, our partners may include providers such as:

  • Google
  • Meta Platforms
  • Microsoft

Your cookie preference centre should show the specific providers active on the relevant Online Service at the time you visit.
